A special scholarship is available for high-achieving students who have earned 90% or higher in any examination at the matriculation level or higher. The Punjab Benevolent Fund Scholarships 2023 eligibility criteria
It is important to note that only two children of current or retired Punjab government employees are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Students who have passed the matriculation exam with at least a 60% grade and are currently enrolled in the next level of education can apply. Students in special education programs (Wajdaan) are required to have three children apply for the scholarship. In the event of the death or disability of a government employee, three children of the deceased employee may apply for the scholarship. Children of deceased employees are eligible to apply for both middle and matric-level scholarships.

The scholarship is available to gazetted employees between BPS-16 to BPS-22 and non-gazetted employees between BPS-01 and BPS-15. The board responsible for managing the Provincial Benevolent Fund is located in the Alfalah building on Quaid-e-Azam Road in Lahore.
The scholarship is also available to employees not listed in the Gazette of the United Nations (excluding those employed by the Secretariat) who are in the BPS-01 to BPS-15 range.

The scholarship amounts for non-gazetted (Part-II) employees are as follows: PKR 1,500 for primary to matric levels,
PKR 6,000 for F.A., B.A., and equivalent levels (including BDS, MBBS, B.Sc (Eng), DVM, B.Sc (Hon), Agri, B. Pharmacy, M.Phil, Ph.D., etc.),
PKR 8,000 for the same degrees as listed above.
